Resumo A partir da veiculação de notícia sobre o estupro de uma criança de 9 anos na aldeia Bororó, em Dourados-MS, este artigo problematiza a forma como a diversidade cultural dos povos indígenas é textualizada no telejornal local MS Record. Sob a perspectiva discursiva de orientação francesa, aliada ao estudo de práticas sociais, analisa o modo como a mídia televisiva, ao colocar em questionamento aspectos da identidade cultural indígena - mediante sua suposta unicidade e legitimidade - promove um ataque aos direitos humanos e à diversidade, sobretudo pela contestação de “privilégios” dados aos indígenas. Entre as relações de poder inerentes ao discurso jornalístico e a historicidade do acontecimento em estudo, há o apagamento do próprio crime, relacionado à (falta de) indianidade. Em última instância, há a disseminação de um discurso preconceituoso e discriminatório sobre os indígenas, sobre a forma como são entendidos pela justiça e pelos órgãos de proteção a esses povos.

Abstract Based on news of the rape of a 9-year-old child at Bororó village, located in the city of Dourados, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, this paper discusses how the cultural diversity of indigenous peoples is textualized in MS Record, the local TV news program. Supported by the French Line of Discourse Analysis and the study of social practices, this research analyzes how the television media, when questioning some aspects of the indigenous cultural identity through its supposed uniqueness and legitimacy, strikes out at the human rights and diversity, mostly contesting “privileges” given to indigenous people. Among the power relations inherent to the journalistic discourse and the historicity of the analyzed event, there is a effacement of the crime itself in relation to the (lack of) indianity. Ultimately, there is a dissemination of a prejudiced and discriminatory discourse towards them, particularly about how the courts and Brazilian indigenous protection organizations understand their own native people.

Resumen Desde la difusión de noticia sobre la violación de niño de 9 años en aldea Bororó en Dourados - Mato Grosso do Sul, Brasil, este artículo problematiza la forma como la diversidad cultural de pueblos indígenas es textualizada en el telediario de noticias local llamado MS Record. Bajo el enfoque discursivo de orientación francesa, asociado con estudio de practicas sociales, analiza como la media de la televisión, cuando cuestiona aspectos de la identidad cultural indígena, delante de su supuesta unicidad y legitimidad, promueve un ataque a los derechos humanos y a la diversidad, especialmente por la contestación e “privilegios” concedidos a indígenas. Entre las relaciones de poder inherentes al discurso periodístico y la historicidad del acontecimiento en estudio, hay un borramiento del propio crimen relacionado con la (falta de) indianidad. También hay diseminación de un discurso de preconcepto y discriminación sobre los indígenas, sobre la manera como son entendidos por la justicia y por las instituciones de protección a eses pueblos.

RESUMO: O trabalho tematiza a questão das relações entre ideologias de gênero e ideologias de língua(gem), de modo a problematizar a hipótese de convergências entre hegemonias linguísticas e a ordem hegemônica de gênero, fixada pela tradição etnocêntrica ocidental. A partir de exemplos de duas comunidades ativistas feministas da rede social Facebook, investigadas desde 2013 em um estudo etnográfico virtual, o trabalho focaliza a função metapragmática exercida por comentários de participantes dessas comunidades. Orienta-se pela compreensão da linguagem como ação social (BAUMAN; BRIGGS, 1990), pelos conceitos de “ideologia de linguagem” (WOOLARD, 1998), de “conflito discursivo” (BRIGGS, 1996) e de “ataque metapragmático” (JACQUEMET, 1994) e pela apreensão dos processos de construção de identidades em suas relações com as disputas de poder e controle na interação e no mundo social (SIGNORINI, 1998; MOITA LOPES, 2010). Nesses espaços-tempos, as hegemonias de gênero/sexualidade e as hegemonias linguísticas aparecem interligadas, atendendo aos propósitos de (des)credibilização de argumentos, (não) preservação da face e (re)orientação das interações. Isso ocorre sobretudo nas tentativas de normatização do uso da língua(gem), que invocam um modelo cultural escolarizado e estabelecem relação entre esse modelo e a capacidade dos sujeitos de compreensão das questões em discussão, sobre gênero e sexualidade.

ABSTRACT: The present study deals with issues of relations between gender ideologies and language ideologies, with a view to discussing the hypothesis of the convergence between linguistic hegemonies and the hegemonic order of gender, underpinned by Western ethnocentric tradition. It has been developed using examples extracted from two feminist activist Facebook communities. These communities have been the object of a virtual ethnographic study since 2013. This research focuses on the metapragmatic function carried out by the comments of the participants in those communities. It is guided by an understanding of language as social action (BAUMAN; BRIGGS, 1990); and of the concepts of “language ideology” (WOOLARD, 1998), discursive conflict (BRIGGS, 1996) and “metapragmatic attack” (JACQUEMET, 1994). The understanding of processes of identity construction in relation to power dispute and control in the contexts of interaction and the social world (SIGNORINI, 1998; MOITA LOPES, 2010) also plays a key role. Gender/sexuality hegemonies as well as linguistic hegemonies are coarticulated in space-time, thereby fulfilling the purposes of (dis)crediting arguments, face-saving (or threatening), and (re)orientating interactions. This occurs particularly when attempting to develop a set of language-use norms, which evokes a school-related cultural model and is capable of establishing relationships between said model and the ability of individuals to understand the gender- and sexuality-related issues under discussion.

O trabalho apresenta alguns resultados de pesquisa sobre identidade de gênero e sexualidade, realizada em seis comunidades ativistas do Facebook. Através da análise de discussões sobre (re) definições e (des) construções identitárias mediadas pela escrita multimodal nesses espaços sociointeracionais, o trabalho aponta as contribuições da teoria feminista pós-moderna, ou pós- feminismo, e da teoria queer para uma melhor compreensão dos fenômenos estudados, argumentando que estas contribuições são relevantes como instrumentos de produção de conhecimento em um processo contemporâneo que é de grande interesse para o campo aplicado dos estudos da linguagem.

This paper presents some research results on identity related to genre and sexuality carried out in six Facebook activist communities. Through the analysis of discussions on identity (re)definitions and (de)constructions mediated by multimodal writing in these virtual sociointeractional spaces, it points out the contributions of post-modern feminist theory, named post-feminism, and queer theory towards a better understanding of the phenomena studied, and argues that these contributions are relevant as instruments of knowledge production in a contemporaneous process which is of great interest to the applied field of language studies.

Este artigo analisa a construção de significados e a (des)construção de categorias identitárias de gênero e sexualidade em práticas de letramento, em comunidades do facebook. Oriento-me por pressupostos da teoria da performatividade dos gêneros e da teoria Queer,buscando discutir comentários de dois postsque abordam violências sofridas por seres humanos, encontrados em uma comunidade feminista e uma anti-homofóbica do facebook. Nesses comentários, é possível encontrar a convivência de significados mais ou menos tradicionais, subversivos e/ou transgressores sobre gênero e sexualidade, configurando um movimento multidirecional que, de certa forma, demarca a transgressão de valores acontecendo no espaço fronteiriço em que se apresenta nessas comunidades. A partir da hibridização e da mistura de categorias e vozes em processo, acredito ser possível (re)pensar as forças atuantes na configuração do sofrimento humano, especialmente no que diz respeito ao sofrimento relacionado a questões de gênero e sexualidade, evidenciado neste texto.

This article analyzes the construction of meanings and the (de)construction of identity categories of gender and sexuality in literacy practices in facebook communities. Oriented myself by the performative theory of gender and queer theory and discusses commentaries of two posted messages dealing with violence against humans in a feminist community and in an anti-homophobic community. These comments, you can find a conviviality of more or less traditional, subversive and/or transgressing meanings on gender and sexuality. There is a configuration of a multi-directional movement which, up to a certain point, marks the transgression of values on the border in which these communities lie. Through hybridization and the mixture of categories in process within their activist spaces, it is worthwhile to (re)think the forces in the configuration of human pain especially with regard to that related to gender and sexuality issues analyzed in the text.

Neste ensaio, tenho por objetivo apresentar uma (re)leitura da polêmica a respeito do livro didático Por uma vida melhor a partir dos Novos Estudos de Letramento (NEL/NLS). Entendido letramento, nessa perspectiva, como práticas sociais situadas e sensíveis à sua articulação com as relações de poder, busco sustentar que a repercussão midiática negativa sobre o livro estaria relacionada a uma concepção de leitura, escrita e oralidade ideologicamente ligada apenas às práticas valorizadas de uso da língua e isolada dos contextos sociais em que essas práticas se inserem. Assim, em um diálogo com a escritora nigeriana Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, analiso essa repercussão como o disseminar de uma "única história" sobre o livro didático em questão e procuro propor uma leitura da polêmica que considere a sua relação com algumas concepções sociais de letramento e que privilegie um conceito mais amplo do termo, capaz de recobrir também as práticas vernaculares locais.

In this essay, I intend to present a (re)reading of a recent polemic about the texbook Por uma vida melhor according to the New Literacy Studies (NLS). Literacy, in this perspective, is understood as the social practices situated and sensible to their articulations with the relations of power. I try to support that the negative media repercussions about this book would be related to an idea of reading, writing and orality ideologically linked to the high considered practices of the use of the language and isolated from the social contexts in which these practices are placed. So, in a discussion with the Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, I analyse these repercussions as the spread of a unique history about this textbook, and I try to propose the reading of this polemic which considers the relation with some literacy social conceptions and privileges a wider concept of the term that would be able to involve the local vernacular practices.
